from April through October! This informational seminar will investigate
the different bloom times of perennial flowers and how to plan your garden

Hydrangeas are one of the
most desirable landscape plants. Learn about types of hydrangeas, uses in
the landscape and care of these spectacular flowering shrubs. Attention

CONDITIONS

Heighten your gardening
experience by learning which perennial flowers will do best in less than
perfect conditions. Even a spot that you think is too hot and dry can be a
great home for the right flowers. Learn to evaluate the light, soil and
drainage properties of your garden and plant with a plan for success.

TREES

10 a.m.- 11 a.m.
When, how and why to prune.
Let our professional nurserymen give you detailed guidelines on this
important practice. Proper pruning transforms average or unsightly
specimens into valuable plants by promoting vigorous new growth, heavier
flowering, and fruiting. You’ll learn to identify the natural habit of
your woody plants and prune accordingly. Please call for a reservation.
REPOTTING YOUR
HOUSEPLANTS
Saturday, March 27th
11 a.m.-12 p.m.
Repotting houseplants requires
some knowledge about the appropriate time of year to repot, pot size,
which plants prefer to be root bound, etc. Our greenhouse staff with talk
with you about these considerations and cover plants that require special
soils such as cactus and orchids. Attention will also be given to how to
plant bulbs with success. Please call for a reservation.
LAWN
Saturday, April 3rd
11 a.m.-12 p.m.
It’s much easier to maintain a
beautiful lawn than to try to fix one (although we can certainly help you
with that too). Many problems can be fixed in one season. Let us guide you
with good lawn care practices. Please call for a reservation.
